Steel Supplements has paved their way through the supplement industry with their popular supplements.Â
Adabolic is their pre/intra/post workout that is designed to increase pumps, size and performance.Â
It contains carbs, nitric oxide boosters, amino acids and more.Â
Adabolic can help enhance recovery, muscle size and restore muscle glycogen.Â
Adabolic tries to do it all with a big list of ingredients and vitamins.
These are mostly vitamins, nitric oxide boosters, amino acids and some muscle builders.Â
While some of the ingredients are dosed smaller than recommended, it can still be a useful intra.Â
For example, betaine anhydrous and beta alanine should be at least 2.5g and 3g respectively.Â
And the carbs are only at 12g, which will barely make a difference with glycogen stores.
It's better to have less ingredients at bigger dosages than more ingredients at smaller dosages.Â
Check out the best intra workout supplements here.Â
There's quite a few ingredients in Adabolic but we'll touch upon some of the key ones since most of them are underdosed.Â
It's claimed to help increase recovery and performance but they aren't clinically dosed, for the most part.
Here are the key ingredients:
Glyocmax is a carb complex which should help increase energy and glycogen stores.
At 12g, it's dosed just enough to notice some benefits.Â
The recommended clinical dose for citrulline is at least 6g.Â
There's half the dose here, which is good if you have a pre workout with citrulline already in it.Â
It should help with pumps and vasodilation enhancement, but again there isn't enough here.
This is another combination of ingredients that's dosed enough.
BCAA's will help prevent muscle breakdown and enhance muscle growth.Â
This is a patented form of creatine that's believed to be more effective and more PH stable.
But there isn't enough research to prove it's effectiveness over regular creatine monohydrate.Â
This is a nitrate rich source that's known as beetroot extract, or beta vulgaris.Â
It can reduce fatigue and enhance endurance by increasing vasodilation and blood flow.Â
The other ingredients are mostly made out of vitamins and other amino acids.Â
Adabolic is designed to be used either before, during or after a workout.Â
It's best used during workouts to help replenish glycogen stores.
It's a decent intra workout.
You can see where it ranks on our top 10 list here.Â
Adabolic has a pretty big list of ingredients but we haven't really been convinced of it's effectiveness because of the dosages.Â
While it has a bit creatine and citrulline, Adabolic is well rounded with ingredients that can help boost intra workout performance.Â
