There's quite a few exotic pre workouts to choose from.Â
But nearly none feel like The Power by Badass Labz.
The urgency-type of energy and aggressive focus makes it one of the best pre workouts we've had so far.Â
While all the ingredients are all in a big proprietary blend, the effects are strong.Â
The Power is one you don't want to miss out on.Â

Pre workouts with DMHA vary with ingredients, formulas and unique features.Â
However this pre workout is one of the few we've tried with it's level of urgency and power.Â
The Power Pre workout by Badass Labz is easily one of the strongest we've had.Â
It's one of the few pre workouts with such a overwhelming feeling of urgency without creating jitters or anxiety.Â
The urgency creates this warm sensation of aggressive energy like something needs to be done and it needs to be done right now.Â
And the whole label is in a proprietary blend.Â
You can watch our video review here.
I've taken the "Russian" Power pre workout a few times now.Â
This isn't another DMHA powered pre workout, it feels like it's much more.Â
Since the ingredients are in a proprietary blend, it's hard to say how much of each ingredient is in there.Â
But the best we can do as reviewers is to share our experiences.
There's a few things that I can highlight from the "Power" Russian Power pre workout.Â
It has urgency, energy, focus and even pumps but that is likely an indirect benefit.
I took this pre workout on a completely fasted state, first thing in the morning.Â
One thing that I noticed is that it reduced my appetite but not to the point where I would feel nauseous.
Once I finished drinking I headed off to the gym, without feeling the slightest bit of doubt that I'm ready to crush my workout.Â
I would usually feel hungry on the way to the gym depending on the pre workout, but with the Power "Russian" pre workout I didn't feel any of the hunger.Â
I powered through my workout with absolute urgency and focus.Â
There wasn't any sudden increase or decrease in heart rate, it was a steady flow of energy but it was strong energy.Â
How's it compare to the other strong pre workouts?
How one pre workout affects me might be a totally different experience for some.Â
But so far, most users can agree the Power is a strong pre workout with lots of urgency and energy to deliver.Â
The Power has more urgency and energy than Crack, Wrecked and Flame.Â
But less euphoria than Flame.Â
I felt good with the Power, it put me in an positive mindset with urgency but it wasn't as euphoric.
And nothing of course compared with Excelsior as that pre workout has much more than what's listed.Â
Crack gives stronger pumps, but the appetite suppression and urgency was just next level with the Power.Â
I felt this gave more aggression and urgency than Assassin v7.Â
I think this has the most urgency I've had from a pre workout.Â
And I can't find anything negative to say about it, there's also the fact that it lasts for hours.Â
I drank it this morning around 11 am, and it's 11 pm now and I still feel like I have energy left from it but I don't think I'll have trouble sleeping tonight.Â
The ingredients here are recognizable.Â
But the dosages are unknown.Â
We can only guess how much of each ingredient is in here.Â
With 25 servings and 12.5g in each scoop, the dosages are probably just enough to make a difference.Â
However, the overall experience is more impressive than the label itself.Â
Although it has DMHA, the energy feels much stronger than your average exotic pre workout.Â
It's even stronger than most DMAA pre workouts.Â
Let's dig into the ingredients...
When it comes to the best nitric oxide boosters, this is one that will consistently be listed.
Citrulline malate is a fatigue fighter as it can reduce the lactic acid that builds up from exercise.Â
Not only can it reduce fatigue but it can also increase vasodilation, allowing for more nutrients to be delivered to working muscles.
Clinically this should be dosed anywhere from 6-12g or more, but the dosage here is unknown.Â
Here's another lactic acid fighter.
Beta alanine is responsible for the tingles you might feel from pre workouts.Â
The tingling sensation is harmless, and it subsides when your body is saturated with beta alanine, which happens after a week or so.Â
With the Power pre workout, I didn't feel tingles, so who knows how much is actually in here.Â
Another top of the line nitric oxide booster is agmatine.
Agmatine is an excellent pump ingredient that can not only enhance blood flow but it can also help uplift mood.Â
If you want a pre workout with nitric oxide boosters then you'd want to have something like agmatine.Â
But of course there needs to be at least 500mg for an effect, ideally up to 1.5g.
Energy in pre workouts always comes from caffeine.Â
Caffeine is the grandfather of stimulants and it's typically dosed anywhere from 200mg to 400mg, though some pre workouts have as much as 600mg.Â
Feeling how strong the Power pre workout is, we'd have to assume there's around 350mg to 450mg of caffeine.Â
But the effects from this pre workout doesn't feel anything like caffeine which is why we guessed it's around that much.
Juglans Regia extract, or DMHA, is an exotic stimulant.Â
DMHA is smooth on it's own but it works better when it's used with other stimulants, specifically caffeine.Â
Marketed as a DMAA replacement, DMHA is a relatively milder stimulant but sometimes preferred due to its smooth energy.Â
However, the energy from the Power pre workout feels much stronger than your typical DMHA and caffeine formula.
Eria jarensis is a mood enhancing compound that's known as N-Phenethyl Dimethylamine.
It doesn't increase energy but it does produce some nice euphoria.
When it's combined with DMHA and other exotic stimulants, it shines through by increasing mood and motivation. Â
Hordenine is a MAO inhibitor which can prolong the effects of stimulants as it inhibits the action of monoamine oxidase.Â
It can make caffeine and DMHA last much longer.Â
And it's also a great thermogenic, because hordenine is a beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist, meaning it can increase your basal metabolic rate.Â
Badass Labz included this compound to help enhance the effects of the energy in here.Â
Alpha Yohimbine is a milder version of yohimbine, it's sometimes referred as rauwolfia.
It has the same effects and benefits but with less of the side effects, making it more likeable.
There's only 1mg in the Power as it was disclosed on another store.Â
Yohimbine comes from the rauwolfia plant but it can also come from the yohimbe plant.Â
This is a alpha-2 antagonist, it can stimulate adrenaline and noradrenaline receptors and has effects on appetite suppression assisting with weight loss while also having some cognition benefits.Â
Tyrosine is becoming more and more used in pre workouts.
This amino acid is can increase motivation and focus because it's a precursor of the catecholamine neurotransmitters, dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine.Â
Focus, motivation, motor function and cognition are all modulated and controlled by dopamine.Â
Tyrosine can help sustain cognitive energy and mood.Â
L-Dopa comes from velvet bean, or mucuna pruriens, which a plant that belongs in the Fabaceae family.Â
Historically, mucuna pruriens has been historically used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat multiple conditions.Â
This is extracted from L-dopa, which is a precursor to dopamine.
Dopamine is the neurotransmitter that is involved in multiple functions from reward, motivation, motor control and executive function.Â
Some research is showing potential for mucuna to have dopaminergic neuroprotective properties.Â
Phenylalanine leads to more tyrosine since it's a precursor to the amino acid.Â
Tyrosine can increase dopamine, adrenaline and noradrenaline.Â
Supplementing with phenylalanine will help restore and maintain a strong mindset as it'll help reduce stress caused by exercise.Â
Alpha GPC is a form of choline, an important nutrient that helps maintains the functions of the brain.Â
Choline is a neurotransmitter, a precursor acetylcholine, that plays a vital role in cell to cell communication and how memories are formed.Â
Acetylcholine won't only improve retention of information but it also improve coordination, balance, alertness and can strengthen mind to muscle connection.Â
Deficenty in choline is an issue in America which can cause issues like brain fog and fatty liver disease.Â
Carnitine is an amino acid that's often used in fat burners.Â
The reason for this is because it can shuttle fatty acids into mitochondria.
When it's oxidized, it's turned in energy.Â
It encourages the body to use fatty acids as energy, which helps burn fat.Â

Phosphatidylserine is a phospholipid that's naturally occurring and is required for optimal cell functioning.
There are high concentrations found in the brain, muscle, heart and liver.
It plays an important role in regulating calcium ion uptake and enhances the structural integrity of cells and strengthens signals between cells and neurons.Â
Supplementing with phosphatidylserine can improve mood, increase cognitive function, memory, and reduce serum cortisol levels.Â
One study found supplementing with PS can reduce exhaustion in trained cyclists and thus it can be considered to be a good ergogenic aid.Â

This pre-workout seems to be out of stock everywhere and the company hasn't set a return date yet. The Power is easily one of the most urgent pre workouts we've come across.
Urgency, aggressiveness and focus are the highlights of this pre workout.
Although it's DMHA based, it definitely feels like something more.
Another store that has this is SuppsCentral.

The Power pre workout looks like the average DMHA pre workout but the similarities end there.Â
How the Power feels compared to other pre workouts is completely different.Â
This pre workout kicks in hard, and it lasts for hours but the feeling is quite similar to ephedrine.
The sense of urgency here is incredibly strong and it makes you want to attack the weights and destroy your workouts.Â
The Power is made for stim junkies and quite frankly, it's better than all DMAA pre workouts we've tried.Â
