Bottom Line

Whether you're dieting or just want pure protein, Isopure makes the best low calorie protein supplements.

Every scoop is packed with 25g of protein, 5g of BCAA's, and 2.3g of glutamine, and of course zero carbs.

However this protein powder becomes harder to find so we recommend Transparent Labs Isolate is the best alternative.

They are both low carb, and isolate protein powders with natural flavoring.

What if I told you there's a protein powder that gives you all the muscle-building fuel you need, without a single carb in sight?

Sounds too good to be true, right?

Enter Zero Carb Isopure, the protein powder changing up things.

They have BCAA's, glutamine, and whatever else they add to make it look special and unique.

But maybe, just maybe, this one protein powder is different than the rest.

The one in question is Zero Carb IsoPure by Nature's Best.

(Recommended: Best Clear Whey Isolate Powders)

This product has caught our attention recently, as some of our readers have been asking for a review.

And whatever they did to make this a super popular protein powder doesn't matter as much as the question, “Is IsoPure worth getting and how's it compare to other protein powders?”

Hold your horses, we'll answer all your questions in a bit…

What is Zero Carb IsoPure?

Traditionally, protein powders have the traditional macros; fats, carbs and protein.

But IsoPure here gives you 50g of protein, zero carbs, and 1g of fat per 2 scoops (1 serving).

It's an ideal powder for those who are leaning out, cutting fat and shredding away to show off their hard earned muscle.

Or just to keep their diet “clean” from carbs.

While the servings seem low, it's actually not. If it says 22 servings, then you're actually getting 44 servings because there's really no need to get 50g of protein in one sitting unless you're a 250lb shredded monster.

Not to mention the generous amount of BCAA's you get.

So really you're paying around $1.00 per serving for pure, whey isolate protein.

What Makes Zero Carb IsoPure Special?

There's a few things that make this one stand out from other protein powders:

  • 50g of Protein Without any Carbs at all
  • Generous Dosages of BCAA's included
  • Glutamine for Recovery and Muscle Growth
  • Uses High Quality Protein
  • Great for Lactose Intolerant Users
  • $1 Per Serving (For Pure Protein)

They didn't just leave it there though, Nature's Best included 10g of BCAA's (Check out our buying guide for BCAA‘s) and a couple grams of glutamine for extra recovery and muscle growth.

If you're looking for a mass gainer, or if you want to see our top 10 protein powders or if you're after a pre workout and you can through our buying guide).

The flavors are creative, but only some are tasty.

Zero Carb IsoPure makes it easy to get your protein up without messing with your carb / fat intake.

If you're after that lean look or you're trying to lose fat, or you simply just want to keep it zero carb, then you'll love IsoPure.

Ingredients

Most whey protein supplements will have isolate, concentrate and other forms of protein but Isopure Low Carb has only one source of protein, which is isolate.

With Whey Isolate being the first in the list, a good sign to see, it's what this product is mostly made out of.

It also has vitamins, minerals and not to mention BCAA's and glutamine so you'll always be at the top of your diet with this powder.

There is a few artificial flavoring and one sweetener involved, but that's really it. Usually protein powders have multiple flavoring, sweeteners and perspectives but this doesn't even have acesulfame potassium (basically aspartame).

It does have soy and sucralose.

Overall it's healthy, full of ingredients that'll not only help maintain muscle but increase it as well.

Protein Forms

  • Ion Exchange Whey Protein Isolate
  • Microfiltered Whey Protein Isolate

As you can see, there are two forms of protein included in this protein powder.

So what's the difference between ion-exchange and microfiltered?

On a gram for gram basis, ion-exchange filtered protein yields more protein, less fat and lactose out of the other methods but it isn't the best way to extract protein as it has a few disadvantages.

For one noticeable downside, some amino acids are denatured during the process, like alpha lactalbumin and immunoglobins.

And for microfiltered…

It filters the whey using high tech ceramic membranes, while using no chemical regents at all.

So the advantage of this process is that you get whey with a better amino profile and more likely to have preserved biological fractions.

Basically you're getting protein that has completely no carbs, but also has a great amino profile.

Sounds awesome doesn't it?

With 50g of protein and 10g of BCAA's, you'll definitely make some gains.

Effectiveness

With 50g of protein per serving, and zero carbs, and a jam packed dose of BCAA's (10g) you'll no doubt experience less soreness and much faster recovery (and growth).

Since it stimulates protein synthesis, it'll also increase recovery, decrease soreness and fight off catabolism so you keep growing and maintaining your gains. (See our BCAA buying guide if you're looking for BCAA supplements).

Since there are no carbs, you can better control your macro's without going overboard on fats and carbs.

This will do much more than your average protein powder, especially because it has added BCAA's and glutamine.

Taste and Texture

Most people go after protein powders (and supplements in general) because of the taste, or they heard it is just flavorful.

You may go after IsoPure thinking it'll be the best thing ever.

And you're not wrong.

For a protein powder that has zero carbs, the flavors are super creative and full of life. Literally.

The cookies and cream especially will taste like a Oreo smoothie. Except without the extra crap (like aspartame).

So if you're dieting, or just looking for something that has zero carbs, you'll most likely get addicted to the flavor.

Universial Nutriton has taken part of the “no-spiking” trend, thankfully, and has provided a weight gainer that truly lives up to its claims.

Pricing and Flavors

  • Generous Dosages of BCAA's included
  • Glutamine for Recovery and Muscle Growth
  • Uses High Quality Protein
  • Great for Lactose Intolerant Users

There's a wide range of flavors and this is what we think of them:

  • Alpine Punch (Ok)

The great ones are the ones with the “Yum!” and the bad ones say “Blah”, it's pretty self explanatory.
