Quick Verdict

What it is Current Post combines a full 5 g creatine serving with glutamine, carnitine, tart cherry, magnesium and ActiGin.
What I experienced On the previous formula, I noticed roughly a small 5–10% reduction in soreness after about two weeks, especially after harder leg sessions.
Important Formula changed materially; previous taste, grit and recovery observations are not a current-formula test.
Biggest buying question Do you already take creatine every day?
Bottom line The current formula makes more practical sense on paper because it includes 5 g creatine, but current score stays pending until retest.

Expert Review

Previous formula tested; current formula pending retest.

I used the previous version immediately after training for around two weeks.

The main thing I noticed was that soreness seemed slightly reduced—maybe around 5–10% in my experience—and it was most noticeable after brutal leg sessions.

The drink itself had some grit. The first part of the bottle was sweet and easy enough to drink, but sediment collected at the bottom even after shaking.

Provenance: this experience applies to the previous formula, not the current 5 g creatine version.

How to Use Post

Follow the current label. The current formula already provides a full 5 g creatine serving, so check whether it duplicates creatine you already take.

Creatine consistency matters more than a narrow post-workout timing window. Post does not replace protein, adequate calories, sleep, or sensible training volume.

Final Verdict

My old test gave me a small enough recovery improvement that I kept using Post, but that isn't the exact product Transparent Labs sells today.

The current formula is more interesting because 5 g creatine makes it a more complete everyday recovery supplement.

On paper, I prefer the direction of the new formula. But I don't want to turn an old two-week experience into a fake current-formula review.

Current FitFrek Score: Pending retest.

FAQ

Yes. The current formula is materially different from the version I tested.
5 g per serving.
Its value falls because the formula duplicates its strongest ingredient; the remaining convenience and recovery ingredients then have to justify the extra cost.
The previous formula seemed to reduce soreness modestly in my personal test. That does not establish what the current formula will do.
They do different jobs. Whey supplies protein; Post supplies creatine and recovery-oriented ingredients. Neither replaces a good diet.
No narrow timing window needs to be claimed. Consistency is more important for creatine.
No. The current formula is stimulant-free.
