Hydrate makes the most sense when plain water is not enough—or when you simply drink more because the water tastes better.

The 500 mg sodium dose is the main reason the formula works. Potassium, magnesium, calcium, taurine and coconut water powder round it out without turning the drink into a sugary sports beverage.

In my experience it is most useful during hot weather, sweat-heavy training and longer sessions. I originally compared it with BCAAs, but the more accurate distinction is that electrolytes directly address hydration while BCAAs do not.

How to Use Intra

Follow the current label and sip it during training. It makes the most sense for longer sessions, hot workouts, or training when a normal pre-workout meal was not practical.

It is caffeine-free, so it can sit beside a stimulant pre-workout, but total daily intake and personal tolerance still matter.

Final Verdict

Hydrate is a clean, well-built electrolyte powder that earns its place when sweat losses, heat or training duration make plain water less practical.

The 500 mg sodium dose does the heavy lifting, backed by a balanced mineral profile and no added sugar. It is not necessary for every workout, but it is an easy recommendation for hot-weather and sweat-heavy training or anyone who drinks more when water is flavored.

FitFrek score: 8.7/10.

FAQ

Not automatically. It becomes more useful when sweat losses, heat, training duration or low electrolyte intake make water alone less practical.
It has no added sugar. It is naturally flavored and sweetened with stevia.
No. Electrolytes and BCAAs serve different purposes. Hydrate is the more relevant choice when hydration is the goal.
Yes, but daily use is not necessary for everyone. Overall sodium, electrolyte and fluid intake still matter.
It is very low calorie and sugar-free, but whether it fits a personal fast depends on that person’s fasting rules.
It replaces electrolytes but does not supply meaningful carbohydrates. Longer endurance sessions may need separate fueling.
