Bottom Line

Alpha Lion may come off as a flashy company with nice branding but their formulas are top notch and have yet to fail to impress us.

Here we have a pre workout that has a thermogenic part to it. It's not only effective in burning away fat but it also helps maintain high intensity and workloads even if you're under a strict diet.

Superhuman Burn is a strong combination of pre workout and fat burner in one.

Try this out and you won't regret it.

You’ve probably seen all kinds of pre workouts.

In the world of hardcore supplements, it’s easy to find pre workouts that maximize stimulant dosages.

Sure you’ll find some that have amazing nitric oxide compounds, some have full clinical dosages.

In fact, the original Superhuman pre workout has paved its way through by combining exotic stimulants like DMHA along with scientifically proven ingredients.

SuperHuman Burn isn’t your traditional fat burner, it combines thermogenic ingredients along with nitric oxide boosters.

Alpha Lion is known for SuperHuman, one of the best selling pre workouts since it’s release. Since its release it’s had a few variations and tweaking.

And it still hits hard today.

SuperHuman comes in different formulas and today we have one of the few pre workouts that has packs everything you can ask for, and adds in thermogenic ingredients.

While Alpha Lion looks like a line of expensive supplements with it’s stylish branding, and it is, it makes up for it by using patented compounds.

SuperHuman Burn For Fat Burning and Cutting

When supplements use science backed ingredients with maximum dosages, you’ll know it’ll be one that knocks the majority of supplements out of the park.

Traditionally, pre workouts include stimulants and ergogenic aids.

Ingredients like agmatine, citrulline, glycerol along with stimulants like caffeine are typically used in pre workout formulas.

SuperHuman is known for making epic formulas.

With Superhuman Burn, they’ve combined 2 categories in one supplement, pre workout and fat burner.

We may have seen one or two pre workouts that have attempted this, and technically DMHA, DMAA, caffeine and all of those stimulants are considered fat burners, but this goes above and beyond.

Some of the ingredients include MitoBurn L-BAIBA, CaloriBurn GP (Grains of Paradise) and a few more fat burners.

We have yet to see a supplement that under delivers from Alpha Lion.

From first impressions, any supplement with a label that stands out like Alpha Lion makes the impression of prop blends and underdeliver of formulas.

However this isn’t the case with Superhuman Burn or with any supplement from this brand.

This completely transparent label uses compounds that will enhance performance, drive up energy expenditure and shred off the stubborn fat.

SuperHuman Burn uses 5 parts into their formula:

  • SuperHuman Pump & Performance
  • SuperHuman Energy
  • SuperHuman Fat Burn
  • SuperHuman Focus
  • SuperHuman Absorption

Dosages can either be split into one scoop or two scoops, and both list dosages for both servings.

For one scoop, you can definitely get by as the 8.5g of ingredients are more than adequate to provide you the energy and focus needed for workouts.

At two scoops, you’ll get 17 grams of ingredients, which is on par with some of the top fully dosed pre workouts.

SuperHuman Pump & Performance Matrix
Citrulline (4g)

Starting off the pump matrix is citrulline.

The dose is perfect at 4g as that’s what is used in studies with citrulline.

Citrulline is best known for increasing blood flow, improving nutrient delivery and improving recovery by reducing lactic acid.

Arginine levels increase when citrulline is consumed, making blood vessels expand which results in better pumps and increased performance.

This is because citrulline is superior at increasing arginine levels than traditional arginine.

Citrulline has better bioavailability and can be absorbed much better than arginine.

When arginine levels are increased, nitric oxide synthase, an enzyme in the body, increases nitric oxide and citrulline levels.

This results in better pumps and exercise performance, both aerobic and anaerobic exercise is maximized.

As a bonus, you’ll experience better recovery, and it reduces fatigue, allowing you to perform sets, reps and weights.

Beta Alanine (3.6g)

When you get tingly after taking a pre workout, it’s most likely from the beta alanine content.

If you like that sensation, you’re in luck because there’s a huge 3.6g dose here.

For a full days worth of beta alanine, you would need to take 3.2g, but here we have a generous 3.6g dose.

Beta alanine has been shown to increase skeletal muscle carnosine levels which results in better workout performance, with both aerobic and anaerobic benefits.

It is a buffer for lactic acid, preventing it from building up will allow you to maximize on reps and sets while delaying the onset of fatigue.

Beta alanine is one of the most commonly used ingredients in supplements because it’s well researched and backed by several studies.

Taurine (1g)

Taurine is the final ingredient in the pump matrix.

This organic compound is a game changer for endurance and workout performance.

It’s an osmolyte, meaning it assists with volume of fluid that enters and exits cells. It’ll drive more water into your muscles, promoting that cell volumizing pump.

Taurine can also help with focus, endurance and much more.

At 1g, it’ll work well and help give that “swole look” with the help of water driven pumps.

SuperHuman Energy Matrix
Caffeine (225mg)

This is one of the most used stimulants in the supplement industry.

While new stimulants seem to enter the market, nothing seems to outperform caffeine in terms of legal and sustained use.

While prolonged use of caffeine does have its downsides when used at high dosages, it is still one of the safer stimulants to use.

You simply can’t go wrong with this stimulant for it’s mental and physical performance enhancing ability.

The trend for high stimulant pre workouts seems to be around 300mg or more of this stimulant, and the total amount of caffeine in Burn is 300mg total.

When you’re using more than 300mg, you risk yourself for the negative side effects such as jitteriness, anxiety, elevated blood pressure and rapid heart rate with the risk of a crash after a few hours.

Caffeine works by inhibiting the production of adenosine, an enzyme that’s responsible for making you feel tired and sleepy. This will reduce the onset of fatigue and increase pain tolerance.

Various studies suggest taking anywhere from 3-6mg per kg of bodyweight to help increase workout performance by increasing power, strength and workload capacity.

For fat burning, caffeine works by increasing energy, thus increasing metabolism and allowing you to put in more work in your workouts.

Caffeine has effects on preventing cAMP degradation. By doing this, it’ll prevent cAMP from being reduced as it would reduce your ability to burn fat.

Theanine (225mg)

If you want to prolong energy and reduce crashing from stimulants, you’ll want to have theanine.

This ingredient comes from green tea and it’s increasing in popularity due to its effectiveness.

Theanine is useful as a pre workout ingredient because of its relaxation effects.

When you have a pre workout that has plenty of stimulants, you’re susceptible to having jitters and anxiety. But with theanine, you’re able to reduce the jitters, anxiety and rapid heart rate because of its calming effects.

And it puts you in a calm state without causing drowsiness.

Theanine also has incredible synergy with caffeine as studies show having these two together will increase cognitive performance as it can enhance your ability to do attention switching tasks and alertness.

Infinergy (100mg)

Regular caffeine is often used in pre workouts but what sets Superhuman Burn apart is it uses Infinergy.

Infinergy was made by Creative Compounds, it consists of 75% Dicaffeine Malate, which totals up the caffeine content to 300mg.

While caffeine anhydrous hits harder and faster, this form of caffeine takes longer to take effect.

With two forms of caffeine, you’ll not only have a nice rush of energy, but you’ll be backed up by a second form of slower digesting caffeine.

SuperHuman Energy Matrix
MitoBurn (L-B-Aminoisobutyric acid) (500mg)

MitoBurn is one of the newer ingredients in the supplement industry.

It’s touted as an exercise in a pill but of course nothing can ever replace exercise.

MitoBurn is the patented form of L-BAIBA, which is known as L-β-Aminoisobutyric Acid.

Baiba is an amino acid that is produced when exercising. When it’s taken, it induces a ketogenic state and forces fat storage to be used while preventing fat gain.

Not only can BAIBA improve insulin sensitivity, but it can also lower glucose, cholesterol and triglycerides that circulate in the blood.

Naturally, L-BAIBA is released from skeletal muscle during exercise or high effort activity. When it is released, it can increase fatty acid oxidation, putting you in a higher thermogenic state.

Studies show effectiveness in dosages from 250 to 500mg, and in SuperHuman Burn, you have the maximum dosage.

Safety with this ingredient is fairly unknown but when you’re using 500mg there are no known side effects.

There are two forms of BAIBA and the difference is huge.

L-BAIBA is created from the essential amino acid valine, while the other form, D-BAIBA, is mostly found in urine.

L-BAIBA has metabolic effects while D-BAIBA has fewer benefits, so to get the most out of it, Alpha Lion has the better version here.

This is one of the ingredients that will increase in popularity due to its effectiveness and potential to improve thermogenesis.

Cocoabuterol (100mg)

Cocoabuterol is another registered patented compound in SuperHuman Burn.

This is a form of Theobroma cacao extract and it is closely related to caffeine.

It is a mild but natural stimulant that is made from alkaloids and polyphenols found in theobroma cacao.

The reason why it’s included here is because of its benefits for thermogenesis.

It’s alkaloids and polyphenols have benefits that can increase mood, reduce appetite, enhance energy and lipolysis.

When it’s paired with compounds like MitoBurn, it’ll have synergistic effects to increase thermogenesis as it can reduce cravings.

Some research shows that theobroma has anti-inflammatory properties as well as cardiovascular protective benefits.

Advantra Z (Orange Extract 50% Synephrine) (100mg)

Next up is the popular bitter orange fruit extract, Advantra Z, which is another patented form.

It contains 50% synephrine, a popular weight loss ingredient that has been used for many years in fat burning supplements.

Research shows that synephrine can enhance lipolysis, metabolism, appetite reduction and energy expenditure.

Synephrine has been touted as a safer alternative to ephedrine because of it’s similar structure but it doesn’t have any negative side effects.

When it’s combined with caffeine and other thermogenic ingredients, it’ll help optimize fat loss.

CaloriBurn GP (Grains of Paradise 6-Paradol 12.5%) (40mg)

Finally, the last in the fat burning formula, is CaloriBurn GP, an ingredient that works like BAIBA as it can convert white adipose tissue to brown adipose tissue.

This means your fat storage will be used as energy, leading to greater energy expenditure, glucose metabolism and increased lipolysis.

CaloriBurn GP is made out of Grains of Paradise that’s similar to ginger.

This trademark form is registered by NNB Nutrition and it’s standardized to have 12.5%.

SuperHuman Focus
Choline Bitartrate (1g)

Now we’re onto the focus blend of SuperHuman Burn.

This portion starts off strong with a full gram dose of Choline Bitartrate.

In fact, this, along with the next 2 ingredients are fully dosed at 1 gram each.

Choline Bitartrate is beneficial for focus since it can increase acetylcholine levels, helping establish a stronger mind to muscle connection.

Eggs and fish are rich in choline but many are deficient in choline due to a few factors, including the fact that more people are on vegan diets.

Choline is an important neurotransmitter and you’re getting a high quality from here as this has decent bioavailability because it’s bound to two tartaric acids.

An increase of acetylcholine will assist a spectrum of nootropic benefits from focus, to learning, memory, and coordination of muscle contractions.

And since carnitine is included in Burn, you’ll get synergistic effects of fatty acid oxidation shown by combining carnitine and choline.

Acetyl L-Carnitine (1g)

Acetyl L-Carnitine is one of our favorite ingredients to have as a pre workout aid, fat burner ingredient and as a study aid.

Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALCAR) has the ability to cross the blood brain barrier, allowing it to act as an acetyl transporter which is why it’s great when combined with choline.

It has properties for being neuroprotective and neurotrophic, allowing it to benefit the nervous central system.

Tyrosine (1g)

Tyrosine is a non stimulant ingredient but it can increase focus and alertness quite well from doses as low as 100mg.

From a single dose, you can get elevated tyrosine levels for up to 7 hours at a time.

With elevated tyrosine levels, you’ll have a clearer mind, and less mental fatigue as well as more energy.

This is one ingredient that goes extremely well with stimulants and thermogenics since it can enhance mood and dopamine.

It can also increase adrenaline and noradrenaline, which is normally depleted with exercise and stress.

This goes well for those under a strict diet or for anyone exercising.

SuperHuman Absorption
AstraGin (25mg)

To help enhance bioavailability of all the ingredients, AstraGin is included.

This can increase uptake of creatine, citrulline, amino acids, omega 3 fatty acids, vitamins and more.

AstraGin is a trademarked form of Astragalus membranaceus and Panax notoginseng that’s developed by Nuliv Science.

BioPerine (5mg)

BioPerine is another ingredient absorption enhancer, as if AstraGin wasn’t enough!

This clinically proven and tested ingredient to increase bioavailability of several ingredients like CoQ10, vitamins, resveratrol and selenium.

Power Your Workouts With SuperHuman Burn

SuperHuman Burn is one of the only pre workouts to combine strong thermogenic ingredients into one formula.

It's packed with patented forms of high quality compounds to help optimize fat loss and muscle growth.

Even fat burning focused supplements typically don't contain as much as an effective formula as the one in Burn.

Alpha Lion of course hasn’t forgotten about their supreme flavoring system with Burn.

Two flavors are available so far and they are Hulk Juice (Sour Gummy Bear) and Smurf Juice (Blue Gummy Bear).

Fat burners come in many forms, but none look like Burn does and Alpha Lion pulled it off quite well with SuperHuman Burn.

The Hottest Pre Workout Available

SuperHuman Burn is one of the best pre workouts. It features thermogenic compounds and quite a few ergogenic aids that will help make pumps last for longer periods of time. You'll be able to burn more while maintaining the same intensity with the help of Superhuman Burn.
