What’s better than a well formulated pre workout?

Consumers, like yourself, are more intelligent about understanding pre workout formulas, the demand for fully disclosed and high quality formulations have never been higher.

But the supply is huge, the choices are there.

What makes Wrecked special?

And where did Huge Nutrition come from?

Huge Nutrition seems to have been a sudden busted into the scene out of nowhere.

Since 2019, they’ve been able to rise close to the top, if not, they are easily one of our recommended companies for pre-workouts.

Wrecked is a strong pre workout, with 18 active ingredients and over 20g scoops, it delivers on point, to say the least.

It has patented ingredients for pumps, a big stimulant blend and it is one of the strongest we’ve seen.

While they do have a pump focused pre workout, Wrecked delivers on all fronts with full doses of potent compounds.

It doesn’t only deliver on stimulants but it also has non-stimulant energy boosters like lions mane, tyrosine and citrulline malate.

And the number of ergogenic aids are huge here, from thermogenics that can release fatty acids to be readily used for energy to the big nitric oxide boosters, Huge has formulated Wrecked intelligently.

My Experience Using Wrecked

I've been using Wrecked for a few weeks now.

And I usually use it on an empty stomach, around the afternoon, without breakfast beforehand.

So I'm in a full-fasted state.

In the first 20 minutes of taking it, I feel pretty hydrated and nourished, as if I drank a hydration drink.

I think this is because of the Himalayan pink salt.

It's packed with minerals like potassium and magnesium that have several benefits for performance.

After 30 minutes, I feel the energy kicking in and once it starts flowing in, it's just about perfect, almost overwhelming but just right.

I feel more than just the caffeine, as there's also the mood enhancer eria jarensis.

By the time I get to the gym, around the 45-minute mark, the energy is set on at full speed.

I feel excited and throughout the sets, I feel much more connected with my muscles while lifting through usual working sets.

From the bottom of the reps to the very contraction, I feel well-established with the mind-to-muscle connection.

I'm not overly energized and my heart is racing faster than I can handle.

And the pumps get better, they are amazing on the first day of taking Wrecked, but the more I use it, the better it gets.

By day 4, the pumps are almost unbearable and they feel amazing. Like it couldn't get better.

I feel like the combination of citrulline, betaine anhydrous, HydroMax and agmatine is elevating my N.O. levels, and keeping them elevated for days at a time.

Long after my workout, like 4 hours, I still feel energized.

I can get more work done afterward than usual.

The lions mane has amazing nootropic benefits, I think this contributes a lot to my energy throughout the day, long after my workout.

Usually, there's a tolerance build-up that occurs from taking pre-workouts, but I've been using pre-workouts for months without cycling, from the hard-hitting ones like Crack and Excelsior to now Wrecked.

However I still feel like Wrecked is easily one of the best pre-workouts, and I don't feel like I've even built a tolerance to it.

In fact, because of its ergogenic aids, it gets better with more usage.

I recommend buying multiple bottles of Wrecked to make the most out of it.

It's a perfect pre-workout.

If you do want to make it a pre-workout with NMT or exotic stimulants, you could check out the exotic stimulants from BulkStimulants.

Ingredients

The first thing you’ll notice is 20 servings, and the servings are huge with (30g) in each scoop.

Wrecked is looking strong right?

From using the strongest form of synephrine, to the (350mg) caffeine paired with 3 other stimulants, it’s energy is potent and it will last for hours at a time.

The pump enhancers are premium, with 8 grams of citrulline and (75mg) S7 (the premium blend of green tea extract along with other antioxidants).

A pre workout like this doesn’t need exotic stimulants and you'll see why.

Wrecked is perfectly balanced for stupid pumps and ridiculous energy.

And personally if I wanted to make this an exotic pre workout, I could add DMHA by buying it in bulk.

But I would advise against adding other stimulants.

This pre workout is designed specifically to be as strong as possible, and it is very good.

Citrulline (8g)

Huge dose alert!

This is pure citrulline, and it’s one of the highest we’ve seen in a pre workout.

It’s packed in here with (8g) and it’s going to deliver on pumps as there’s still other pump enhancers including agmatine, S7 and betaine anhydrous.

Research has proven many times that this ingredient is the best for pumps and performance as it can delay fatigue and clear out metabolic waste like lactic acid.

It can increase vasodilation by increasing nitric oxide levels [1].

First the amino acid, citrulline, converts into l-arginine, then nitric oxide synthase increases which will cause blood vessels to expand and dilate.

This means more blood flow, more pumps and much more nutrients being delivered to muscles.

The benefits for increased blood flow means better recovery, more ATP production, increased oxygen uptake and improved growth hormone release.

And citrulline is one of the best nitric oxide boosters and of course, it's combined with other epic nitric oxide ingredients like S7 and agmatine.

If you stack this with Pump Serum, you'd be in for some of the best pumps you'll ever experience.

The 8 gram dose here is one of the highest we've seen in a pre workout, and if you stack Pump Serum, you'll get even more benefits for better vasodilation.

Beta Alanine (3.5g)

This is a naturally occurring amino acid that helps with carnosine production, a molecule found in skeletal muscle. [2

Beta alanine produces carnosine, and carnosine clears out lactic acid and helps delay the build up that’s caused by lifting weights and high intensity exercise.

Exhaustion from exercise occurs from this build up of lactic acid, and it's dosed higher than the clinical dose of 3.2g.

You’re going to feel tingles if you haven’t been taking beta alanine from outside sources.

Since this is cheap and easy to get in bulk, we recommend buying it separately so you can saturate yourself with it and you won’t feel the tingles.

It’s a harmless tingling sensation that you’ll feel throughout your skin and face.

Malic Acid (3g)

Malic acid is typically bonded with citrulline but here it's on its own.

It's helps the body with the utilization of fats, carbs and protein for energy.

Responsible for the Krebs cycle, this process is what the body goes through to use energy.

Malic acid also helps make Wrecked taste better, which is necessary seeing how many ingredients are packed in here.

Citrulline here is already dosed at 8 grams, and malic acid is dosed at 3g, so mega doses are everywhere here!

Betaine Anhydrous (2g)

Like creatine, betaine anhydrous is an osmolyte that can regulate cellular hydration while maintaining fluid levels in cells.

It works like taurine in that it can help volumize muscle cells and makes muscles look fuller and bigger.

Betaine can donate a methyl group to homocysteine.

Homocysteine is a non-proteinogenic amino acid that can cause issues when it’s elevated as it can negatively impact muscle protein synthesis as well as other physiological functions. [3, 4

The (2g) is close to the clinical (2.5g) dose used in the studies.

Since it’s combined with other ergogenic aids, it should still work well.

Agmatine Sulfate (1.5g)

Agmatine is a fantastic nitric oxide booster.

It functions like a defensive aid to the pumps by preventing nitric oxide levels from decreasing.

The body naturally tries to break down arginine when it’s elevated in the body by producing arginase.

By taking agmatine, it inhibits arginase from being broken down, helping maintain higher arginine levels and letting the pump last longer. [5, 6

A gram of agmatine is perfect, and typically pre workouts will have around (600mg).

Wrecked has more than twice that by using 1.5g.

And it works well with citrulline since that can increase nitric oxide levels.

Agmatine also plays a role in boosting neurological profile, meaning it’ll help with mood and mental functions as it acts as a neurotransmitter and neuromodulator. [7]

The next ingredient will work well with agmatines mental boosting properties…

Tyrosine (1.5g)

Tyrosine is one of our favorite non-stimulant energy boosters.

It works well for decreasing anxiety and stress while increasing focus and mood. [8, 9]

When it’s combined with the stimulants in here, like hordenine, caffeine, n-methyltyramine, it works in synergy to give you an incredible mood boost.

Tyrosine is a precursor to catecholamines (norepinephrine, epinephrine, dopamine) [10], so while caffeine forces the release of these catecholamines, tyrosine will ensure your body produces more of them.

Lions Mane (600mg)

Lion's mane is one of the many useful mushrooms used for improving athletic performance.

Not only does it contain unique compounds like erinacines, erinacea lactones, glycoproteins, hericerins and beta glucans [11] but it also has several vitamins and minerals, making it an all in one ingredient that packs a wide range of benefits.

What makes it a valuable compound for enhancing physical performance, is that the bioactive compounds it contains.

The benefits [12, 13] include:

  • Neuroprotective
  • Hepatoprotective
  • Controls blood sugar
  • Immune system support
  • Increases Nerve Growth Factor in the brain
  • Anticancer
  • Antibiotic
  • Mental function enhancing
  • Anti Aging

To top it off, lion's mane can decrease three key markers of fatigue, lactic acid, malondialdehyde and urea nitrogen. [14]

Without a doubt, lion’s mane benefits are well rounded from mental to physical performance.

For the brain, lion’s mane has been found to increase nerve growth factor, which supports brain health by promoting neuronal growth and helping decrease inflammation.

It’ll work in synergy with citrulline, beta alanine, and the energy boosters in here to help with not only physical energy but also cognitive function.

Alpha GPC 50% (600mg)

Alpha GPC is a choline based ingredient that has incredible bioavailability.

It's beneficial for mental functions as it can increase acetylcholine production, a learning neurotransmitter.

Using choline can help with cognition and physical function as being deficient in choline can have detrimental effects on health.

Alpha GPC also has benefits for strength and size, making it one of the best choline based ingredients for bodybuilding.

Eria Jarensis (250mg)

Eria jarensis is a premium version of PEA, that comes with some euphoria effects.

It's used in fat burners and pre workouts to help with mood.

It works well but it usually works best when it's combined with other stimulants.

Eria Jarensis will increase dopamine production, helping maximize motivation and drive.

And while there isn't another exotic stimulant in here like DMHA as it's commonly combined with eria jarensis, there isn't a need for it as Wrecked is strong as it is.

VasoDrive-AP (255mg)

This ingredient has been removed in the second version of Wrecked.

It's been replaced with 4g of Hydromax (Glycerol) and you'll able to get Vasodrive from Pump Serum.

This is a trademarked ingredient developed by Novanutri.

VasoDrive-AP is made of two low-molecular-weight lactotripeptides -valine-prolyl-proline (VPP) and isoleucine-prolyl-proline (IPP).

Both, VPP and IPP, are seen to be capable of decreasing vasoconstriction by inhibiting an enzyme known as ACE (angiotensin-converting enzyme) [15].

This will increase vasodilation, widening blood vessels and allowing you to have greater pumps.

This will also decrease blood pressure, which can be elevated due to the mix of stimulants that’s coming up.

Since VasoDrive is made from hydrolyzed milk casein, you’ll want to keep this in mind if you’re allergic to dairy before taking Wrecked.

Inositol Hexanicotinate (250mg)

This ingredient has been removed in the second version of wrecked.

This is known commonly as Niacin but Inositol hexanicotinate is suppose to be a flush-free version, where you wouldn’t feel your face getting warmer after you took it.

It's considered to be a vitamin B, and vitamin B’s have a range of benefits for the body, from improved metabolism, increased absorption of foods (proteins, fat, carbs) and using it for energy.

Himalayan Pink Salt (196.5mg)

If you sweat and consider yourself one to sweat on a regular basis, you’re going to need to replace the sodium that you lose.

Or you could potentially be at risk for muscular cramps and decreased performance.

Potentially, in extreme cases, you could suffer from hyponatremia. [16]

Without consuming electrolytes, even if you’re drinking a ton of water, it will put a big hit on your performance.

Huge Nutrition has gone with Himalayan Pink Salt, a sea salt that has a variety of benefits from improving digestion and hydration as it also contains potassium and magnesium.

S7 (75mg)

This is a potent pump enhancing compound that has caught all the hype of nitric oxide.

S7 is a trademarked ingredient that’s developed by Futureceuticals and it contains seven ingredients: green coffee bean extract, green tea extract, turmeric extract, tart cherry, blueberry, broccoli and kale.

Some data have shown that S7 is able to increase nitric oxide synthesis by 230% with just a (50mg) dose.

It doesn’t increase blood flow the same way that citrulline does, but it will certainly work in synergy to increase blood flow from several angles.

There’s more info on S7 through these links. [17, 18]

Caffeine Anhydrous (250mg)

The real fun has just begun.

Caffeine is the granddaddy of all stimulants, without it there wouldn’t be the demand for more stimulants.

At 250mg, it may seem like a moderate dose, but there’s still 100mg more to come from di-caffeine malate.

Caffeine works by inhibiting adenosine, a nucleoside that decreases brain activity when binded to its receptor.

This is blocked by caffeine, which then causes an increase in neural activity, energy and reduces fatigue. [19, 20]

For a pre workout, anything more than 200mg will have a positive effect on performance. [21]

And Huge Nutrition went with 350mg here, and don’t forget there’s still more stimulants to come.

Di-Caffeine Malate (100mg)

Caffeine that’s bonded with malate takes longer to digest, allowing you to have a longer lasting energy source.

This means you won’t have a crash after the stimulants wear off, as this form of caffeine lasts a little longer than the hard hitting pure form of caffeine.

Hordenine (100mg)

Hordenine is made from bitter orange, and it contains adrenergic amines: tyramine and synephrine.

Being a beta 2 adrenergic agonist, hordenine can increase the production of adrenaline and noradrenaline.

By doing this, it can increase heart rate and breathing rate. [22]

This causes an increase in the body’s metabolic output. And since it works as a noradrenaline reuptake modulator, it can prolong the effects of stimulants that it’s taken with.

N-Methyltyramine (75mg)

N-methyl tyramine (NMT), also known as hordenine,  is a beta-2 agonist, which can activate the fight or flight response.

It can increase motivation, focus, energy and force fatty acids to be used as energy. [23]

And it will also boost cAMP levels, which can increase epinephrine and glucagon secretion, leading to more energy and improves overall well being. [24]

This big (75mg) dose will increase energy and give quite a bit of energy with euphoria.

Higenamine HCl (50mg)

This is an appetite suppressing stimulant that is considered to be a safer alternative to ephedrine.

It releases fatty acids in the body, and it’s banned by the World Anti Doping Agency [25] because it’s a performance enhancer and a bronchodilator.

Higenamine also helps with acetylcholine as it can release more into the bloodstream, which makes it stack well with choline sources. [26]

There isn’t much data to how exactly higenamine may help your training, but one study has shown an increase in calories burned because of the increased levels of free fatty acids, leaving you with more energy. [27]

This should help with your training as more fatty acids will be readily oxidized for more energy, allowing for more efficient workouts. And higenamine should increase endurance because of its cardiovascular effects.

This is the very reason why it’s banned by the WADA for drug tested athletes (World Anti-Doping Agency).

It works as a bronchodilator and can increase your heart rate.

All in all, higenamine is a mild form of ephedrine that functions as a beta-2 adrenergic that can increase free fatty acids floating in the bloodstream, allowing for more energy to be produced and the dose is moderate here at (50mg).

Keep in mind there’s still other stimulants in here as well as a strong form of synephrine.

Theobromine (150mg)

Theobromine is the cousin of caffeine and while it’s milder, it helps with energy and mood in it’s own way.

The body takes longer to metabolize theobromine, like di-caffeine malate, making it a longer lasting source of energy.

Additionally, theobromine has been seen to be anti-inflammatory, anti-tumoral and cardioprotective. [28]

It functions and works similarly to caffeine as it can inhibit phosphodiesterase and adenosine. [29]

Isopropylnorsynephrine (20mg)

Isopropylnorsynephrine is a stronger form of synephrine, and it’s derived from bitter orange extract.

Typically it’s used in fat burners because of its ability to burn fat by breaking down triglycerides into fatty acids and glycerol. [30]

Like synephrine, it can turn on beta receptors and inhibits alpha adrenergic receptors, however data shows this is a better form to the regular synephrine. [31]

Like higenamine, it can free up free fatty acids for energy [32], so combining this will work well with the other stimulants in here.

The energy will hit from all angles with Wrecked.

Alpha Yohimbine (1mg)

Yohimbine has a love/hate relationship with it’s users.

But alpha yohimbine is smoother, and much preferred by most people because it has the same effects as regular yohimbine, but without the anxiety.

This is the final stimulant and like the other thermogenics in Wrecked, it can block alpha-2-adrenergic receptors, this will create a fat burning environment.

It can also suppress appetite and increase male fertility. [33]

The dose is minimal here but remember there’s still at least 4 fat burning agents that will all help release free fatty acids to be used as energy.

How To take

Wrecked can be taken on it’s own, without additional supplements for pumps or energy.

Since it has a complete formula, with thermogenics and nitric oxide boosters, as well as ergogenic aids.

The only ingredient you sohuld have in bulk though is creatine and that can be taken anytime.

Flavors

So far, we have one flavor but I'm sure we have more on the way.

That flavor is Rainbow Burst.

It tastes quite good.
