Bottom Line

Update: Wrecked Extreme is no longer being produced. There's only one store left with it and once it's sold out, it's sold out for good.

ReviewBros is a long time supplement reviewer that has finally got their chance to formulate the perfect pre workout

Partnering up with Huge Nutrition, they've created a masterpiece that will not only provide hard hitting energy but also pumps, endurance and more.

There's over 12g of ergogenic aids, 1g of stimulants and a few nootropics that make up Wrecked Extreme's formula.

This is a completely different version to the original Wrecked and there's no doubt it'll sell out quickly.

Wrecked Extreme is provides much more aggressive energy.

Wrecked Extreme Ingredients

ReviewBros have formulated Extreme with one thing in mind…

Energy.

It packs over 500mg of caffeine from 3 different sources but the highlight here is the addition of DMHA, eria jarensis, hordenine and nootropics.

This is the biggest dose of hordenine we've seen and it's paired with 200mg eria jarensis and 150mg DMHA.

While you've probably tried pre workouts with over 300mg eria jarensis and DMHA, none of them have paired these along with big of a hordenine dose.

This should result in some long lasting energy, motivation and mood enhancements.

In other words, Wrecked Extreme goes hard with euphoria, energy and focus

But the biggest question has yet to be answered…

How will all of these ingredients play in synergy with performance and what's our thoughts on it?

Let's dig right into it…

Citrulline (6g)

Like the original Wrecked, this pre workout has citrulline.

But instead of using the bonded version, citrulline malate, it uses 6g of pure citrulline.

Is it better?

Yes because if you get a pre workout with 8g citrulline, that means you'll only get 4-5g of pure citrulline.

Bioavailability shouldn't be an issue especially as there's bioperine at the bottom of this formula.

Citrulline is one of the best ingredients to have as a pre workout.

This amino acid can convert into l-arginine, better than arginine itself, and an enzyme called nitric oxide synthase converts it into nitric oxide. [1, 2]

Nitric oxide isn't just good for pumps.

It'll help increase the diameter of blood vessels, allowing for more vasodilation, resulting in more nutrients being shuttled into working muscles. [3]

It'll work in synergy with beta alanine to reduce fatigue and improve performance.

Beta Alanine (4g)

Holy tingles batman!

That's you'll probably say.

This 4g beta alanine is huge and it'll make you feel the tingles especially if you haven't been using it lately.

Beta alanine, like creatine, needs to be saturated in the body for it to work.

It's a naturally occurring amino acid that plays a role with carnosine production, which a dipeptide molecule that can be found in skeletal muscle. [4

By increasing carnosine, it'll help the reduce lactic acid that acculmates that occurs from performing multiple reps and high volume workouts

Personally, I would prefer to have less lactic acid than to avoid the tingles from the beta alanine.

So if the harmless tingles bother you, it'll subside with continuous use. It should take a week or so for it to be less pronounced.

Tyrosine (1.5g)

Tyrosine is an excellent amino acid to have in a pre workout

This amino acid is a must if you're looking to maximize motivation and drive.

The reason for this is because it's a precursor to catecholamines (norepinephrine, epinephrine, dopamine) and because it can produce these catecholamines, you'll have more of a source that's further released by caffeine and the stimulants in here. [5, 6]

It'll help you handle stress more efficently, like from exercise. Tyrosine is also shown by research to enhance focus, mental energy, mood, by bumping up the production of the 3 important neurotransmitters (norepinephrine, epinephrine, dopamine). [7]

These are chemical messengers that are used for cell to cell signaling, interactions and performing almost every physiological process within the body.

These neurotransmitters are depleted with exercise, which can result in reduced performance, more fatigue and difficultly concentrating.

Tyrosine from supplementation can help reduce and prevent the depletion of these neurotransmitters. [8]

The dose here is huge at 1.5g and we can see why ReviewBros would want to put this much in, as Wrecked Extreme is packed with stimulants that'll force the release of these neurotransmitters.

Having tyrosine is like adding fuel to the fire.

Alpha GPC 50% (600mg)

In the world of nootropics, Alpha GPC is a must have.

When it's combined with huperzine, it has excellent synergy for enhanced focused and mind to muscle connection.

Alpha GPC, or alpha-glycerophosphocholine, contains lots of choline and it's a phospholipid. [9]

At 50%, you're getting 300mg in total, which is a clinical dose and it'll play a vital role in making acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that's responsible for maintaining brain function and muscle control.

It'll help the body make use of the acetylcholine so your body will make the most out of the highly bioavailable Alpha GPC.

And since Alpha GPC is a nootropic with some strength boosting benefits, as well as growth hormone, it'll help you make the most out of your workouts, both mentally and physically.

You need some form of choline, you'll get this natural essential nutrient in foods like eggs and dairy products but supplementing it can ensure you're maximizing it's benefits.

One study had participents take either 600mg Alpha GPC or placebo 3 hours before training.

They measured their resting metabolic rate along with their respiratory exchange ratio, then had each subject perform 3 sets of bench throws to meaasure force and power.

The researchers found an increase in growth hormone production along with a 14% increase in bench press force.

This boost of growth hormones will put your body in an anabolic state, priming you for muscle and strength gains.

There's a few more studies like this, but basically, they have a common theme where they see alpha GPC being able to increase growth hormone production, performance, strength, and gains.

It has a wide range of benefits, from increasing focus to helping you make more gains.

ReviewBros and Huge have clearly made the right choice by including this in such a high stim pre workout.

Caffeine (518mg From Regular, Citrate, and Malate)

Let's make one thing clear…

Every pre workout, no matter what stimulants are used, caffeine is always included, unless of course it's a caffeine free pre workout.

But ReviewBros is going huge here with energy.

Now this isn't 518mg of pure caffeine, we've combined all the forms into one dose here.

It's 250mg from caffeine anhydrous and 168mg caffeine citrate.

This means you'll be getting 418mg from fast acting caffeine, which will reach it's peak of energy within 20-40 minutes.

The rest of the caffeine comes from di-caffeine malate (100mg), a very slow form of caffeine that takes longer to fully digest.

This means long after the fast acting caffeine starts declining in energy, which is about 4-6 hours after, you'll still have a steady flow of caffeine from the malate.

Caffeine malate will help prolong the energy during your workout, and long after, ensuring you don't experience a crash.

Now the research behind caffeine has no doubt that it can increase energy and performance. [10, 11]

There's even evidence supporting strength enhancement as a potential benefit, depending on the dose.

You might be thinking this much caffeine is too much for anyone but the research showing the potential strength benefits use doses from 5 to 6mg per kg of body weight. [12]

That's about 440mg to 528mg for a guy my size (88kg / 193lb).

The reason why most pre workouts have between 300mg to 400mg is because that's still an effective dose.

Considering how Wrecked is loaded with stimulants, there's no doubt you'll feel like you can fly with 45 plates attached your finger tips.

Eria Jarensis (200mg)

Eria Jarensis is one of the best forms of PEA you can get.

It increases energy, delivers intense energy, and it's standardized to the consituent of n-phenethyl dimethylamine.

It works as a potent neuromodulator, and to say the least, it hits hard.

This dose, 200mg, used to be considered to be a big dose way back when it was first introduced to pre workouts.

But we now see pre workouts containing huge doses, upwards of 500mg!

Although this is dosed at 200mg, you have a huge dose of hordenine, and we've never seen eria jarensis nearly matched with it's hordenine dose (almost a 1:1 dose).

Hordenine will prolong the stimulants in here, including eria jarensis, allowing it's enhancements to last for hours at a time.

There isn't enough research on eria jarensis, but we do know it binds to the receptors of the brain, mimics neurotransmitters and releases dopamine by the receptors that get activated.

This will result in increased motivation, energy, and a big uplift in mood.

DMHA 2-Amino-6-Methyl Heptane HCl (150mg)

Julgans regia extract, or DMHA, is a potent stimulant that's commonly referred as being the alternative to DMAA

It's milder compared to DMAA, but some people actually prefer DMHA because it's smoother, and it doesn't seem to constrict blood flow as much.

There's 2 main forms of DMHA.

There's 2-amino-5 and 2-amino-6.

Wrecked Extreme has the latter and it's delivers more aggressive energy.

The former is more euphoric, but with Wrecked Extreme, we want extreme energy, and euphoria should come as a bonus.

Most pre workouts only disclose DMHA as a whole, without specifying the form.

Our choice of DMHA is what ReviewBros and Huge have gone with here, and it's a more expensive stimulant to include compared to 2-amino-5.

Hordenine (150mg)

Derived from bitter orange, hordenine contains adrenergic amines, tyramine and synephrine.

It's a beta 2 adrenergic agonist, meaning it can bump up the production of adrenaline and noadrenaline.

In result, this will increase heart and breathing rate. [13

And by doing this, it will enhance the body's metabolic output.

We were impressed to see such a big dose of this, because while it isn't as strong as DMHA and eria jarensis, it'll help prolong the stimulant effects as it's a noradrenaline reuptake modulator.

Theanine (100mg)

Most of the ingredients in Wrecked Extreme will increase energy and focus

But what will help prolong the effects of the stimulants is theanine.

It's an amino acid that's naturally occurring and it can induce calmness and relaxation without causing drowsiness. [14, 15

Theanine is a must when such a big dose of caffeine is used like in Wrecked.

It'll reduce the nasty jitters and side effects that'll come with high stimulant formulas.

There's also some research showing how theanine can elevate dopamine levels in the brain, resulting in higher motivation and mood. [16]

Higenamine (50mg)

Paradoxine (30mg)

Paradoxine (30mg)

Paradoxine is a popular ingredient to have in fat burners.

This is known as grains of paradise, but in it's patented form, and it's a spice that's related to ginger.

It'll help improve digestion, enhance fat burning, with antioxidant properties.

It's full of bioactive constituents including:

  • 6-paradol
  • 6-shogaol
  • 6-gingerdione
  • 6-gingerol

Each of these compounds have their own benefits but most of the fat burning effects come from 6-paradol. [20, 21]

What it'll do is help convert white adipose tissue brown.

This should help reduce body fat. [22]

Huge and ReviewBros have gone with the high quality patent form that contains at least 12.5% 6-paradol.

Huperzine A 1% (20mg)

So far, we've seen several stimulants and nootropics.

Including alpha GPC, and Higenamine.

Both of these play a role with increasing and releasing acetylcholine.

Huperzine is a defending ingredient against acetylcholine as it can prevent the breakdown of it.

It functions by being a antagonist to acetylcholinesterase (ACE) [23], and it'll help enhance brain health by protecting it from oxidative damage.

There's synergy that happens when it's combined with Alpha GPC, and it'll help enhance acetylcholine further.

Bioperine (10mg)

Bioperine is the second last ingredient here and it'll enhance the bioavailability of the ingredients it's used with.

So to make the most out of every other ingredient, it'll improve nutrient uptake and ensuring you make the most out of every ingredient in here. [24

Wrecked Extreme has a huge formula with lots of ingredients that needs to be digested and BioPerine will ensure you're getting the most out of everything in here. [25

As a bonus, BioPerine has some thermogenic benefits as it can enhance fat loss and lower lipid levels. [26

Alpha Yohimbine (1mg)

Alpha Yohimbine is similar to regular yohimbine, but without the nasty effects of anxiety, jitters and headaches. [27

The dose here is minimal, but it won't turn off anyone who doesn't tolerate yohimbine well.

It can block alpha-2-adrenergic receptors, resulting in a highly thermogenic environment for your body and it can suppress appetite. [28]

Wreck Your Workouts To The Extreme

If I was making a supplement, I would definitely ask help from ReviewBros.

People like them have experience reviewing supplements, they know what works and what doesn't.

And this isn't the first time we've seen supplement companies collab with reviewers.

But this time, Huge gave most of the formulating power to ReviewBros and it has clearly paid off.

Huge Nutrition has already had a pretty big start with their line up of anabolics, potent supplements and all kinds of formulas that contain nothing but high quality ingredients.

Using the minds and experience of ReviewBros, combined with Huge Nutrition's formulating and science, has clearly worked well by the looks of Wrecked Extreme.
