By Nader Qudimat / Aug 29, 2014 You’ve made it. Welcome to the beginning of a very long, but yet a very exciting journey. No matter how new you are to muscle building, these tips will help show you how you can get started on the fast but hard track of becoming muscular. In this post I’ll explain: What you should expect out of your workouts. What gyms to pick and what to avoid. How you should see and deal with failure If there is one thing you must understand, it’s that this journey will not last 90 days. Fitness is a forever thing, once you start, there’s never a finish line. Just like a house, it’s built brick by brick. And even when it’s finished it’s still maintained and improved throughout time. Once you lay that first brick though, it’s the habit of laying the next one until you’ve completed your foundation. And just like a house, you need to know you’ve picked the right equipment to build it. It’s VERY much possible to build a physique with nothing but your body weight. Keeping that in mind, I’ll guide you on how you can choose the right gym. You MUST make sure they have these things: Power rack (not the smith machine) Barbells Dumbbells Benches Pull up bar Without these equipment, muscle gains and mass will be very limited. Machines do help but compound exercises with free weights challenge the most out of your body. You should be aware of your mindset right from when you get started in your muscle building journey till the very end. What you think in and out the gym will ultimately lead you to your success to becoming muscular. Doubts and failure will happen all the time, it’s inevitable. But what matters is how you deal with that. It doesn’t matter how hard you get hit, it matters how you get back up. I didn’t make that quote up. But that’s something you need to remember and implant into your brain. You’re going to fail. Expect to. If you don’t fail, you won’t improve and you won’t know how you can succeed next time. Using your mind to conquer your body will help you get started FAST with your muscular journey. The mirror is going to be your best friend, but it will seem like your worst enemy. Results do come, but naturally we expect them to come fast. Try using a measuring tape to measure your gains. Keeping a journal of your stats will be the best thing you can ever do. Lastly, but not least, GET STARTED! Don’t delay another day, 10 minutes of exercise will lead to some results than doing nothing. Create the habit of working out and you’ll be sure to make hard hitting muscle gains in the long run. I thank you for making it this far. You’re serious about getting started and hopefully, I’ve showed you how. If you have any questions, I will answer them.
